8"x 10" CERAMIC ART TILES/TRIVETS:  American made in my Gig Harbor Studio.   Any standard
image on the website is available.
I take digital pictures of my watercolor originals and reproduce the image on
an ink jet printer using special dye sublimation inks.  The image is then merged with the ceramic tile by use of  a
400 degree heat press.  Then a "picture frame" back is attached which allows you to hang the tile, stand the tile
up or lay the tile flat and use as a trivet.
Art Tiles / Trivets are $40  2 (Same) for $35 Each.

dye-sublimated tiles in is as part of a home remodeling or construction project. Typical uses tiles on
these projects would be incorporation into tile wall coverings, kitchen and bathroom backsplashes,
shower stalls, fireplace surrounds, and outdoor applications.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
My tiles are produced with specially formulated, UV resistant, inks and tough durable polymer coatings.
However there are specific applications where special consideration must be given before deciding to go
ahead with a specific application. I do not recommend against these applications, however the end user
must satisfy himself or herself that the tiles are suitable for the specific application they have in mind.  I
do not guarantee suitability for any specific project.

Outdoor applications: Dye Sublimation technology is new; the dyes used are specially formulated for UV
resistance. Samples have been subjected to accelerated life testing that indicates they will last at least 5
years in an outdoors installation without fading. However these materials have not been around for 5
years as yet so it remains to be seen if they will, in fact, last this long. In general I do not recommend
installation of our products in an unprotected outside location.

Horizontal Surfaces: Mechanical wear is a problem for dye-sublimated tiles.  The polymer coating is
applied to a glazed surface as a coating. If attacked with a sharp object, such as a razor, this coating
can be scraped off. When cleaned with abrasive cleaners the surface may be scratched.

Coatings on tiles and other sublimated materials can also be scratched by contact with rough objects
such as unglazed clay on the bottom of coffee cups. I do not recommend the use of these tiles for
horizontal applications such as counter tops where they will be subjected to high wear.
