Giclee is a French word (pronounced zhee-clay) that means to spray or spatter. That is the essence of ultra high resolution ink-jet printing. This technology is the new state-of-the-art in printmaking. These printers are
controlled by computer software that can make the finest of color balance, saturation, contrast adjustments. The printmaker or artist has unprecedented control of the final output, both in terms of image fidelity and
consistency throughout the full edition. Many of my original paintings are digitally scanned and painstakingly optimized for color accuracy, sharpness and saturation. Once the digital files are approved they are sent to a 7
color printer that is capable of resolutions up to 2880 x 1440 dpi. The inks used for all of my Giclee prints are pigment based archival quality, light fast rated for up to 100 years. All of the giclee prints offered here are printed
on the highest quality fine art watercolor paper and are "profiled" in the printer software for optimal and consistent print quality.
